GRRR Birdies Place Second in Senior Leage Wii Golf Tournament

Grande Ronde Retirement Residence’s GRRR Birdies took 2nd place against the undefeated Parc Duluth, Duluth, Georgia in the 2011 National Senior League Wii Golf Tournament . Our team excelled from 4th to 3rd and if we would have had another week maybe 1st. We had a great experience and enjoyed getting the whole facility excited about it.
Sandra Nelson Honored as 2009 Employee of the Year by Frontier Management

Dignitaries, family, friends and employees gathered to honor Sandra Nelson, CNA, as Frontier Management’s company wide 2009 Employee of the Year award. Sandra was chosen from nominations submitted by Frontier’s 32 communities and 2000 employees. The reception was held August 11th at Grande Ronde Retirement and Assisted Living Community, where Sandra has been a caregiver for four years.
Frontier’s employee recognition program is to highlight an employee who has made an extraordinary positive influence in the quality of life for residents, staff and associates over a period of one year. It is meant to recognize an employee who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to fulfill Frontier’s mission Statement: To enrich the lives of our residents, staff and associates through our programs, communications, environments and true commitment.
Sandra has shown over her four years as CNA at Grande Ronde her deep caring and passion for each resident. She is always willing to help out her co-workers and does so with a great team attitude. Administrator, Jessie Huxoll states, “Sandra is indeed the compassionate employee Grande Ronde enjoys having on staff.”
In addition to many employees, residents and their families, the event was attended by Frontier’s CEO, Greg Roderick, COO, Matt Dunham, and Regional Vice President, Ron Baker.
