She has responded within a few hours to any questions we might have and even offered helpful suggestions to help solve concerns that might have made it impossible to place my grandmother at Colonial Village! Dear Cherry and Staff at Colonial Village,

First of all, thank everyone of y'all for my mother's disposition. I haven't heard her sound so happy in a long, long time. She even brags about how good the cafeteria workers are. She says they're hilarious and extremely helpful. She's afraid to leave to go out with my sister because she might miss something while she's gone!

A side note by Cherry Sikes, Executive Director at Colonial Village:
Soon after Deb's mother moved in, she called to ask the staff, "What have you done to my mother?" She followed that with, "She NEVER answers her phone because she is always doing an activity or enjoying her lunch bunch – she has never been so happy." "Thanks for taking such good care of mother." She's having a ball!

To Frontier Management,

We found a caring, community for our dad, when we moved him into Colonial Village Retirement in September. We had visited Colonial Village in February and knew right away this is where we want dad to be.

Robin, Cherry, Dixie and all the staff and residents have been unbelievable. The entire staff have go way above the “call of duty” to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. I never knew senior living communities like this existed!

A Place for Mom told us about Colonial Village. Even some competitors  recommended Colonial Village. It truly is home away from home in the best sense of the word.

My wife and I tell Robin, Executive Director, to get ready because we want to move in when we retire!

Dear Chef Eric,

We want to thank you for the excellent Valentine's dinner on Friday. Knowing how difficult food preparation for a very large number of diners is, we were impressed. The presentation was eye catching, as it should be. Although we were unable to come to the dining room and had our meal delivered, even in a Styrofoam box it was a most attractive plate. The shrimp were cooked to just the right degree of tenderness and flavor. Their setting was lovely and appetizing. The roast beef and the chicken roulade were delicious, as well as tempting in appearance. The potato rosette and the bacon-wrapped green beans completed the meal's appeal. Of course, the red velvet cake was a winner, too. You and your staff outdid yourselves on this one. This is not to say we haven't appreciated many of the meals you've prepared for us. We especially enjoy the various ethnic themes. One of my favorites is the red cabbage. We look forward to the red beans and rice. We both enjoy the Asian themed menu a great deal. Just wanted to let you know you are appreciated and we look forward to future top notch meals…"Our compliments to the chef!"
